The Southwest of France, from Perigueux down to the Pyrenees, is amazing. Enjoy this spectacular film about sites to visit during, after or before your Singing Holiday in France…
The closest airports with arrivals from Europe, UK, United States, Canada, Australia and New Zealand are Bergerac & Brive (90 minute drive to Cazals or Salviac). Limoges, Toulouse (2,5 hour drive to Cazals or Salviac).
Train connections London-Paris, Paris-Gourdon/Cahors. Gourdon is 20 kms from Cazals. Cahors is 45 kms from Cazals.
We recommend that you use a car to get around when you want to see sites like Cahors, Rocamadour, Sarlat, the river Dordogne and its castles. Driving is the easiest way to get around in a region where bus and train services are limited. Bergerac Airport offers easy car hire. Other car rental services are in Cahors and Sarlat (Europcar, Hertz, Avis). Please check their websites for availability.
If you are fine with staying in the immediate surroundings (there is enough to see close by!) it may be an idea to rent a bicycle. We have already had some courageous (Dutch) singers who rented a bike at the local restaurant to get to the churches we sing in. They found it fun and not too straining.
